InternetRetailing Media Acquires Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics Magazines

InternetRetailing Media has announced the acquisition of Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics Magazines to complement their existing media portfolio. This will solidify their position as the leading media source for the online retail industry. Fulfilment & e.logistics Magazine will merge into eDelivery Magazine, which was launched in January 2015.

The news comes as InternetRetailing Media – the publishers of InternetRetailing Magazine - announced their focus on publishing after selling their renowned event series to Clarion Events. These pivotal acquisitions will allow InternetRetailing Media to drive its leading news, research and industry analysis into new global markets and become the leading news source for internet retailing internationally. Clarion will focus on launching the IR events series including the Expos, Conferences and Awards to key markets worldwide.

Fulfilment & e.logistics started in 2000 in the dawn of multichannel commerce to cater for the appetite for insight and news into online fulfilment, and was followed in 2002 by m.logistics, focusing on telematics and mobile computing. Fulfilment is intrinsic to online retail operations and with innovative approaches it can be a key differentiator.

The two titles and their popular supplier guides have remained in the hands of the founders throughout their lives. Key members of the team have been commercial director Chris Propert-Lewis, who previously had a long career in publishing and media sales, much of it in the automotive industry; Peter Rowlands, group editorial director and a lifelong transport and logistics journalist; and Sharon Clancy, editor of m.logistics and also a lifelong transport and logistics journalist.

Speaking about the acquisition, Mark Pigou, Director and Co-Founder of Internet Retailing Media, said:

“I’d like to personally thank Peter and his team for entrusting us with Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics and we wish them every success with their new business endeavours. The acquisition is an accelerator for our serious ambitions for InternetRetailing Media and will allow us, as Europe’s undisputed leader in news, research and industry analysis, to ensure we’re raising the standards of the multichannel and omnichannel fulfilment industry through expert insight and education."

Peter Rowlands, Editorial Director and Co-Founder of Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics, commented:

“We are delighted to see our magazines moving to such a natural home and we are confident that InternetRetailing Media will evolve the brand and expand its readership into new international markets. The new owners aspire to the same editorial values as ourselves, and we are confident that their eDelivery publication will pick up the baton that we have run with all these years, ensuring that the spirit of Fulfilment & e.logistics lives on.”
