Dan Wilson is the co-editor of Tamebay and the author of Make Serious Money on eBay UK, Amazon and Beyond, the bestselling guide to selling on eBay and marketplace selling.
Part of the team that founded eBay in the UK in 1999, he suggested to Chris Dawson and Sue Bailey that they should start a blog. Tamebay was the result and he was a behind-the-scenes advisor and occasional contributor from 2006 to 2011, before coming on board (after Sue’s death) as co-editor.
A graduate of the London School of Economics, he has worked for numerous web start-ups including vzaar and MyDish as well as bigger organisations including the NHS, Labour Party and BT. In his time at eBay he worked predominantly as Community Manager (in charge of the online marketplace’s social media suite) and also spoke at eBay University. On the eBay UK discussion boards he was well-known under the moniker Henry Nutford. He worked variously in eBay UK’s product, customer support, marketing and PR teams during his eight year tenure with the company.
As well as writing for Tamebay he is a freelance writer, author, editor, digital consultant and internet marketer. He blogs personally (and all too infrequently) at www.wilsondan.co.uk . Quite the media tart, he is sometimes to be heard on the wireless, seen on the box or quoted in print talking about eBay, the internet and social media.
Dan is a keen consumer of real ale, a long standing Whovian, proud Blue Peter badge winner and unsuccessful politician. He lives in Brighton (well, strictly Hove) and sometimes writes short stories.
On Twitter he is @wilsondan and you can find him on Linkedin too.
